The mounting device comprises a combination of a mast frame (1) and a mounting frame (10), the mast frame being integrally securable to the mast and the mounting frame being releasably securable to the mast frame by bolts. The auxiliary device is secured to the mounting frame. The bolted together combination of the mast and mounting frames has a given rigidity and strength. Independent claims are also included for (a) the mast frame and (b) the mounting frame.
