PURPOSE: A method for preserving a colored photosensitive resin composition is provided, to allow a colored photosensitive resin composition to be stored over a long period of time without significant quality change. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the step of preserving a colored photosensitive resin composition comprising a colorant, a binder polymer, a photopolymerizable compound, a photopolymerization initiator and a solvent at a temperature of -6 to 15 deg.C. Also the method comprises the step of preserving a colored photosensitive resin composition comprising a colorant, a binder polymer, a photopolymerizable compound, a photopolymerization initiator and a solvent at a temperature of -10 to 30 deg.C with vibration. Preferably the composition is preserved in an environment that light transmittance in the wavelength range of 250-440 nm is 8 % or less.
