PURPOSE: A multiple electrode type flat lamp is provided to realize a large diagonal and high homogeneity of light, and extend the life span by increasing the brightness of the light with low voltage. CONSTITUTION: A first glass substrate(11) and a second glass substrate(12) face each other at a regular gap to have a discharge area(13). A plurality of pairs of first electrodes(14) are formed on the first glass substrate at regular gaps. A plurality of pairs of second electrodes(15) are formed on the second glass substrate at regular gaps. Insulating layers(17) are formed on the whole surfaces of the first and the second glass substrates including first and second electrode pairs. Fluorescent layers(18) are formed on the insulating layers. A first power source part is electrically connected with the first electrode pairs for providing pulse voltage. A second power source part is electrically connected with the second electrode pairs for providing RF(Radio Frequency) voltage.
