PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod ensuring its tip not to be broken. SOLUTION: This fishing rod includes a butt-holding rod 3 with the inner circumferential surface at the end portion of its tip side serving as the engagement female part, a tip rod 4 joined to the tip side of the butt-holding rod 3 in shaking type with the outer circumferential surface at the end portion of its tip side serving as the fitting male part, and a fishline fastener 10 joined to the end portion of the tip side of the tip rod 4. In this fishing rod, when the tip rod 4 is in containment, the male part is fitted to the female part.
