PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fishing rod enabling various members to easily and firmly be fixed on the rod body so as not to develop cracks or the like. SOLUTION: This fishing rod includes a cylindrical reel seat 5 disposed circumferentially on the principal rod 1 so as to penetrate the principal rod 1 therethrough, and a yarn 10 wound throughout the respective circumferential surfaces of the reel seat 5 and the principal rod 1 on the end portion in the axial direction of the reel seat 5, and a resin coat 11 applied on the wound yarn 10, wherein the wound yarn 10, which is a untwisted yarn, is overlappedly wound through being oriented in such a direction as to deviate respectively in angle from the circumferential direction to the butt side and tip side of the rod in the axial direction.
