PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a relief valve for an oil filter, which can be assembled easily by manual work of a worker and can easily be disassembled. SOLUTION: This relief valve 10 is provided with a valve seat 16, a valve element 17 for closing an opening 24 of the seat 16, a coil spring 18 for pressing the element 17 to the closing direction and a spring receiving body 19 for interposing the spring 18 between the seat 16 and the body 19. The body 19 has a pair of recessed parts 33 to be engaged with both sides 29 of the beam part 28 of the element 17. Four members of the element 17, the body 19, the spring 18 and the seat 16 can be separated immediately when the element 17 is approached to the body 19 against the pressing force of the spring 18 and then the element 17 and the body 19 are turned relatively in the assembled states.
