PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for collecting a physiological sample by perforating the skin and making a contact with the physiological sample in the skin. SOLUTION: The apparatus for collecting the physiological sample comprises at least one fluid passage in such a manner that the substantial part of the distal end of the at least one passage is opened with an external environment. The at least one apparatus can be integrated within a test piece for determining at least one type of a deposit in the sample. Further, the method for using the apparatus is provided. These apparatus and the method are particularly suitable for determining a glucose concentration in the sample or specially the glucose concentration in a blood, a blood fraction or an interstitial fluid. Furthermore, a kit including the apparatus used to carry out the method is provided. |
