PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment apparatus for surgery which can be easily held when an operator grips a handle and is improved in operability. SOLUTION: A sheath 30 is provided with a flexible inner pipe 32 through which a driving wire 24 is passed and at least a pair of front and back rigid overcoating pipes 34 and 36 being slidably arranged on the outer peripheral part of this inner pipe 32. This sheath 30 is provided with a switching means for switching a curved position where an inserting part is curved in the required direction between these overcoating pipes 34 and 36 by sliding these front and back overcoating pipes 34 and 36 along the inner pipe 32 and opening a space between the front and the back overcoating pipes 34 and 36 and a non-curved position where the space between the front and the back overcoating pipes 34 and 36 is closed and the inserting part is held in a non-curved state.
