PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hood member mounting tool capable of easily and accurately mounting a hood member at the distal end of an insertion tube/working length of an endoscope. SOLUTION: This hood member mounting tool is provided for mounting a removable hood member 50 on the distal end part 17 of an insertion tube/ working length 7 of the endoscope 2. The tool includes a hood member abutting part 56 for regulating the position of the hood member 50 and a distal end abutting part 57 for regulating the position of the distal end of the insertion tube/working length. When the hood member 50 is mounted on the distal end 17 of the insertion tube/working length, the mounting position of the hood member 50 to the distal end of the insertion tube/working length is regulated.
