PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent increase in patient's pain and to secure durability (hardening function) of a coil. SOLUTION: In a soft part 7 of an insertion tube/working length 2 of an endoscope 1, an adhering coil 31 and a wire 32 in the coil are provided, the tips of the wire 32 and the coil 31 are firmly fixed to a connecting pipe 24 connecting a curved part 6 and a soft part 7 by a connecting means such as wax 33. This side of the coil 31 is also firmly fixed to a part of a rear end mouthpiece 34 for connecting the soft part 7 to the operating part 3. The wire 32 is not fixed except the tip, and a wire stopper 35 mounted near this side end of the coil 31 is firmly fixed to this side end of the wire 32. The size of the wire stopper 35 is larger than the inside diameter of the coil 31.
