PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of a rice cooker wherein when the rice cooker body is required to be compact, the size of a space for storing the cooker is limited, when a thick pot is used for making the boiled rice tasty, the wall thickness of the pot is increased so that curling for the upper end of the pot is necessarily enlarged so that the pot can't be stored in the space of the limited size, whereby even if the outer flange of the pot for the rice cooker is narrow, it is devised so as easily to carry with the hand. SOLUTION: The outer flange 13 formed at the upper end of the pot for the rice cooker formed by drawing an aluminum or aluminum-alloy plate is formed by an inner peripheral edge part 13a formed round, a horizontal part 13b connected to the inner peripheral edge part, and a downward inclined part 13c connected to the horizontal part. The inclined part 13c can be a part of a curved shape formed by curling. Thus, the outer peripheral edge of the inclined part 13c is easy to be caught by fingers so that the pot for the rice cooker can be easily handled.
