PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for cultivating plants, making it possible to reduce the amount of compound fertilizer to be used in nutritious liquid/soil culture. SOLUTION: The method for cultivating plants comprises the following process: applying base fertilizer containing carbonized chicken manure to soil for plants, and adding fertilizer components to water to be irrigated to the soil; wherein the use of the compound fertilizer can be reduced by making the base fertilizer contain the carbonized chicken manure where the fertilizer components are concentrated to have high fertilizing effect.
