PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To generate an outward output signal without increasing a burden of control of a main control means and a peripheral unit group. SOLUTION: CPU 1560 as an outward signal generating means provided as a body separate from a plurality of peripheral units generates a signal showing the state of a game operation to be outputted outside a game machine on the basis of a control instruction from a main control part 200. By making the means other than the main control part 200 and the peripheral unit group bear the generation of the outward output signal, therefore, the signal can be generated without increasing the burden of control of the main control part 200 and the peripheral unit group.
