PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bulbous crop preparing machine in view of the fact that conventionally a fibrous root-cutting work within a preparing work of bulbous crops needs a careful and detailed work and is done by many professional farmers and when doing the work by a machine, a structure capable of maintaining high accuracy so as to prevent the production of inferior bulb is necessary. SOLUTION: This bulbous crop preparing machine has a fibrous root-cutting device 7 for cutting the fibrous root part of bulbous crops. The fibrous root- cutting device 7 has a root-cutting guide 70 touching at a bulb bottom, fixing the high and low position of the fibrous root-cutting device 7 and arranged on the adjacent position of a pair of fibrous root-preparing bodies 67 rotating the fibrous root in the direction keeping away from a bulb part and the vicinity of the forward biting part of a pair of fibrous root-cutting blades 66, and alternatively, a root-cutting guide 70 smoothly touching at a bulb bottom, structured in a form that a track touching to the bulb bottom draws a truncated chevron shape viewed from the top and arranged in the center of a bulb passage.
