PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating pretreatment apparatus keeping the concentration of an iron powder in a treatment liquid such as a washing liquid or the like constant in a low state and preventing the re-adhesion of the iron powder or the like to an article to be coated to perform coating pretreatment of high quality from a viewpoint of the appearance quality of a coated article. SOLUTION: The coating pretreatment apparatus is provided with a dipping tank 1, a feed-in roller 7 for feeding in a magnet sheet 4, a guide roller 6 for guiding the fed-in magnet sheet 4 so as to feed the same along the inner wall of the dipping tank 1, the scraper 8 brought into contact with the fed magnet sheet 4 and a take-up roller 5 for taking up the magnet sheet 4 brought into contact with the scraper 8.
