PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating apparatus improving a coating flaw generated when a coating solution is applied to a continuously running long support by an extrusion coating method. SOLUTION: In this extrusion coating apparatus for allowing a lip surface to approach the fed support to apply the coating solution to the support, at least two lip surfaces are provided and the outlet side of a most downstream lip has an arcuate shape with a radius of curvature of 3-20 mm and the angle formed by the tangential line of the arcuate shape at the outlet point of the most downstream lip and the feed direction of the support is set to 30-75 deg..
