METHANOL REFORMING CATALYST AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce costs by reducing the amount of Pd as well as to enhance durability in a high temperature field and an oxidizing atmosphere and to maintain a reactor and to suppress deterioration of a catalyst by inhibiting an exothermic reaction due to entrained air. SOLUTION: A methanol reforming catalyst used in production of hydrogen from methanol by simultaneously causing a partial oxidation reaction and a steam reforming reaction is obtained by incorporating CuPdO2 as an active species obtained by combining CuO and PdO into ZnO-ZrO2 as a carrier.
