PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a running cost in a drier for laundry. SOLUTION: The drier for the laundry is provided with a ventilation means for ventilating air for drying through a circulating ventilation route circulating through the inside of a tank, a dehumidification part C for cooling and dehumidifying the air for drying which is a dehumidification object discharged from the tank and passed through the circulating ventilation route, and a heating means for heating the dehumidified air for drying which is dehumidified in the dehumidification part C. The dehumidification part C is provided with a heat exchange part P serving also for preheating and a main heat exchange part M. The heat exchange part P serving also for preheating heat-exchanges the dehumidified air for drying dehumidified in the main heat exchange part M and supplied to the heating means and the air for drying which is the dehumidification object discharged from the tank, preheats the dehumidified air for drying and dehumidifies the air for drying which is the dehumidification object. The main heat exchange part M heat-exchanges the air for drying which is dehumidified in the heat exchange part P serving also for preheating and fluid for cooling and dehumidifies the air for drying.
