PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide both a transgenic plant containing a gene encoding a Japanese B encephalitis vaccine and the Japanese B encephalitis vaccine expressed by the plant. SOLUTION: This transgenic plant contains the gene encoding a fusion protein of a mucosal immunological carrier and a Japanese B encephalitis virus E glycoprotein and transduced thereinto. In particular, the transgenic plant contains the mucosal immunological carrier which is a chorela toxin B subunit protein (CTB). In the transgenic plant, the plant is tobacco.
