In a conveyer which is rotatable about a pivot 9 at one end whilst simultaneously moving rectilinearly to a small extent, the pivot 9 comprises a pin passing through a bore, the pin and the bore being separated by a bush 11 of resilient material which is compressed or relaxed to allow the required rectilinear movement to occur. As shown, the conveyer frame 6 is mounted on a main frame 10 by rubber-bush mountings 9. In a modification (Figs. 5 and 6, not shown) a link (12) may be disposed at each side between the frames 8 and 10, there being a rubber bush mounting at each end of the link (12). The invention may be applied to the stacking apparatus described in Specification 1.239,441.
