COPY MACHINE HAVING FUNCTION OF COPYING USER OPTIONAL AREA AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING COPY FUNCTION THEREOF

PURPOSE: A copy machine having a function of copying a user optional area and a method for controlling copy function thereof are provided to limit a copy area without closing a cover, thereby preventing space of a printing paper from being printed in black. CONSTITUTION: A main body(21) of a copy machine includes a document board(22) and a key input part(23). A scanning unit(25) scans an object put on the document board. An output device outputs a scanned image. A control part controls driving of the scanning unit and the output device according to signals of the key input part. A copy area information input element(50) inputs information of horizontal and vertical sizes of the object to set up a copy area according to the size of the object. The control part controls a moving range of the scanning unit with the horizontal size information of the object to set up a width of the copy area and controls an output range of the output device with the vertical size information of the object to set up a height of the copy area.
