METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING IMPREGNATED CATHODE ASSEMBLY

PURPOSE: A method for manufacturing an impregnated cathode assembly is provided to simplify manufacturing procedures, while preventing deformation and damage of sleeve during the process of removing the unnecessary coating liquid. CONSTITUTION: A method for manufacturing an impregnated cathode assembly comprises a first step of applying the slurry containing high melting point metal powder and binder powder to the inner surface of a sleeve through capillary phenomenon; a second step of absorbing the unnecessary slurry from the sleeve, removing the unnecessary slurry, and drying the resultant structure; and a third step of forming a coating layer only at the inner surface of the sleeve by performing a heat treatment under a vacuum condition.
