The emulsions consist of an aqs. dispersion of polymers or copolymers of acrylic acid derivatives with an aqs. solution of polyvinyl alcohol, or a dispersion of low molecular weight vinyl ethenyl carbinol, and an ester mixture. Used as an auxiliary emulsion on photographic films. A very transparent protective layer with high mechanical strength, and not affecting photographic properties such as contrast and speed of film.
