Facilitating the efficient introduction and removal of liquids from centrifugal liquid extractors and phase separators, this invention provides axial shafts for the rotors of centrifugal cocurrent countercurrent exchange devices incorporating influent and effluent liquid conduit mechanisms to ensure the uniform distribution of the liquids for the full width of the concentric rotor bands. The multi-section conduit shaft has a rotor attached to it into which a number of separator bands are positioned. Liquid inlet and discharge devices also extend radially into the rotor. The conduits, which extend over the whole length of the shaft section, are independent of and spaced apart from each other.
