INTERNET PROTOCOL TELEPHONY EXCHANGE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING CALL PROCESSING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An Internet protocol telephony exchange system and a method for controlling call processing the same are provided to assign an identical telephony system and maintenance system to IP(Internet Protocol) terminals and legacy terminals, so as to provide a call service with one integrated system. CONSTITUTION: At least one IP terminal(18) generates and outputs user information or has a user interface converting user interface information to be identifiable state, and provides a VoIP(Voice over IP) in accordance with a preset data communication protocol procedure. An IP driver(22) controls IP end points in which the IP terminals(18) are located by responding to IP terminal connection information and call processing information based on the data communication protocol procedure. In an IP-PBX(IP-Private Branch Exchange)(14), a DB(28) includes subscriber information such as telephone numbers, port numbers and IP address information for legacy terminals(16) and the IP terminals(18). An exchange interface(30) receives user information transmitted from the IP terminals(18), and transmits call processing information to the IP driver(22) and the IP terminals(18) through the IP network(12). A gateway card(26) connects call channels between the IP terminals(18) and the legacy terminals(16) by responding to the IP terminal connection information and the call processing information based on the data communication protocol procedure. And a call processing module(32) searches the DB(28) by originated call information transmitted from the IP terminals(18) and the legacy terminals(16) to analyze incoming party numbers, and provides a call connection service with the IP terminals(18) through legacy terminals(16) or the exchange interface(30), the gateway card(26) and the IP driver(22) according to analyzed results.
