PURPOSE: An apparatus for improving energy efficiency for refrigerating cycle is provided to improve performance coefficient of an air conditioner or a refrigerator while reducing power consumption. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus(1) comprises an auxiliary heat exchanger unit(10) comprising an inside pipe(11) having one end connected with an outlet side of an outdoor heat exchanger and the other end connected with an inlet side of an expansion valve, an outside pipe(12) concentrically storing the inside pipe therein and having one end connected with an outlet side of an indoor heat exchanger and the other end connected with an inlet side of a compressor, and a heat insulating cover(13) covering the outside pipe so as to make high pressure liquefied refrigerant and low pressure gaseous refrigerant exchanger heat with each other; a pressure maintenance valve(20) installed on an inlet of the inside pipe of the auxiliary heat exchanger unit to appropriately drop pressure of high pressure liquefied refrigerant condensed in the outdoor heat exchanger and maintain condensing pressure of the outdoor heat exchanger; and a cabinet(30) storing the auxiliary heat exchanger unit and the pressure maintenance valve therein.
