<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To differentiate a correction method corresponding to a magnitude of a position shift of an image forming unit, to use a memory having a small capacity and to adequately execute a correction operation for print data in terms of an image forming apparatus using a so-called tandem method. SOLUTION: Printing data outputted from an address operation section 54 is written into a memory 51 by controlling of an address controlling section 53. In terms of the data written into the memory 51, a line is updated along data outputted from a -1/3 line output section 56a when a printing position shift is large and the line is updated along data outputted from a -3/3 line outputted section 56b when a printing position shift is small, then the printing data is read therefrom. As a result, a method for reading the data is varied corresponding to the magnitude of the position shift, a memory having a small capacity can be used and an adequate and effective correction operation for printing data can be executed.</p> |
