FIELD: abrasive working processes, namely lapping high- accuracy plane-parallel surfaces of parts in two-disc lapping machine tools with planetary lapping mechanism. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of determining value Hlap and form of out-of-planeness of one of laps (usually lower lap as more comfortable); applying abrasive paste (suspension) with grain size da = ( 2 - 3) Hlap on lap surface and uniformly distributing it; mounting at least three dressing tools between laps uniformly along circle in such a way that their continuous surface is turned to side of convex surface of one lap and their annular surface is turned to side of concave surface of other lap; performing cyclic dressing at providing rotation of laps clockwise and counter-clockwise; measuring value of out-of-planeness between cycles; then tilting dressing tool and going on dressing; selecting outer diameter of dressing tool equal to 1.0 - 1.01 of lap width and selecting width of annular surface consisting (0.2 - 0.3) of width of working surface of lap.
