FIELD: metallurgy; production of master alloys for refining steel. SUBSTANCE: proposed method includes introduction of solid particles of ferromanganese in aluminum or aluminum-containing material melt; application is performed at temperature of 800-900 C for 60-300 s till forming of film 0.516-1.506 mm thick. Proposed method makes it possible to obtain dense and strong coats of aluminum or aluminum-containing material on ferromanganese for forming local zones at alloying manganese-containing steels.
