MAGNETITE CRYSTAL NANOPARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide nanoparticles which essentially consist of magnetite crystals, and have ferromagnetism, and have excellent dispersibility into organic media in a wide area. SOLUTION: The magnetite crystal nanoparticles consist of magnetite crystals in which surface modifier molecules having a molecular weight of <=1,000 are bonded, and having a number average grain diameter of 1 to 20 nm. The standard deviation of the grain diameter of the magnetite crystals is <=20% of the number average grain diameter.
