PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wavelength multiplex system in which costs are reduced while adopting a wavelength grid based on ITU-T recommendation G.692. SOLUTION: The wavelength interval of each of signal light transmitted from a plurality of optical transmission parts is made into interval, in which a number of wavelengths to be multiplexed can be taken at equal intervals, within the range of the band of an optical amplifying part 5 and further, the wavelength range of each of lasers is made into range over at least two grids including adjacent grids. Besides, the pass band of a wavelength demultiplexing part 3 on the side of receiving is made into range to transmit wavelengths within the laser wavelength range corresponding to each of channels. |
