PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a message chat system or the like capable of unitarily utilizing the advantages of chat and instant message. SOLUTION: This message chat system comprises a message chat server 100 connected to a client device 200 of user. The client device 200 comprises a message chat module 273 for transmitting a dialogue start request. The message chat server 100 comprises a dialogue designation determination part 135 for determining a user as dialogue designation and a chat request part 138 for transmitting the dialogue start request to the client device 200 of the user as dialogue designation. The message chat module 273 of the client device 200 displays a prescribed dialogue screen when it receives the dialogue start request, and also controls the chat performed through this dialogue screen.
