FILTER CLOGGING MONITORING METHOD AND ELECTRONIC APPLIANCE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filter clogging monitoring method capable of finding filter clogging in an early stage and an electronic appliance provided with such a monitoring function. SOLUTION: In the electronic appliance, air for forcible cooling flows through a filter (104) into a case body (100) incorporating an electronic circuit (200). A flow velocity of the air flowing through the filter into the case body is measured (202) and an alarm is issued when the flow velocity becomes lower than a predetermined threshold. Also, a temperature inside the case body is measured (204) and an operation of the electronic circuit is stopped when the temperature exceeds the predetermined threshold.
