The floor installation is formed from modular floor elements (1) and a load bearing infrastructure (2). The load bearing infrastructure consists of rectangular bricks (3) provided with reception cavities(3') for modular support crosspieces (4) and fastening means (5) of the infrastructure visible surfaces which engage with a corresponding crosspiece. Each floor element is provided with horizontal locking means (6).
