REMOTE DISPLAY CONTROL OF VIDEO AND GRAPHIC DATA

PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for remotely controlling video and graphic data are provided to realize a user-friendly graphic display by efficiently using a display function of a receiver and a display device. CONSTITUTION: A system(200) for transmitting and displaying graphic data includes an audio/video source(201) offering graphic data and a video signal to an audio/video target(202). A controller of the audio/video source transmits a display control signal commanding the way that the video signal is displayed at the audio/video target in connection with the graphic data. A mixer(204) receives the video signal, the graphic data, and the display control signal for combining the video signal and the graphic data to make a combined signal.
