APPARATUS FOR ELIMINATING ODOR AND VOLATILE ORGANIC COMPOUNDS IN POLLUTED AIR

PURPOSE: Provided is an apparatus for eliminating odor and volatile organic compounds in polluted air. CONSTITUTION: The apparatus comprises a polluted air inlet(51); a pretreatment chamber(55) with a filter therein, the pretreatment chamber(55) being coupled to the polluted air inlet(51) for intercepting dust from the polluted air; a photo oxidation chamber(59) coupled to an exit of the predetermined chamber(55) and having a plurality of guide plates(53a,53b) coated with TiO2 based photocatalyst and arranged to have a predetermined angle with respect to an air flow direction, and a plurality of ozone generating UV lamps(57) arranged to perpendicularly penetrate the guide plates(53a,53b) for removing odor and volatile organic compounds contained in the polluted air by a photo oxidation reaction and ozone oxidation reaction,; a posttreatment chamber(63) coupled to an exit of the photo oxidation chamber(59) and filled with ozone reaction catalysts for removing remained ozone in air passed out the optical oxidation chamber(59); and air exit hole(65) formed at a part of the posttreatment chamber(63).
