PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that the area of a camera seen from the front gets wide and the camera becomes large in spite of making the camera small in thickness because a large space must be secured in order to retreat the conventional image pickup part to the outside of a photographic optical path in a direction orthogonal to the optical axis of a photographic lens. SOLUTION: This digital camera has a structure that the photographic lens can be housed in a camera main body, and is used in a state where a camera member is arranged so that a gap can not be formed around space where the image pickup part is moved and retreated so as to have an angle in the optical axis direction of the photographic lens. The photographic lens is retreated and housed in the housing space formed by the movement of the image pickup part, and the camera main body is made thin and the area of the camera seen from the front is hardly increased, thereby, the digital camera is prevented from getting larger. |
