PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact and lightweight reduction gear. SOLUTION: This reduction gear comprises an output shaft 25 subject to the thrust load, an input shaft 3 and a pinion shaft 17, both disposed in parallel with the output shaft 25, for transmitting rotation force to the output shaft 25 via gears 9, 19, 21, 23, two radial bearings 37, 39 for rotatably supporting both ends of the output shaft 25, a thrust bearing 27 interposed between the two radial bearings so as to support the thrust load acting on the output shaft 25, radial bearings 6, 15 for supporting both ends of the input shaft 3 and the pinion shaft 17, and a casing 35 for housing the gears and each bearings so as to support each shaft via each bearing. The thrust bearing 27 is engaged with the casing 35 in such way that it is disposed on the same plane S as the radial bearings 6A, 15A supporting each one end of the input shaft 3 and the pinion shaft 17.
