PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for quick restoration processing, and a method of storing damaged data. SOLUTION: A pair is constituted of a logical volume a for storing data, and a logical volume b for storing a backup for the data. A disk controller receives a restoration requirement from a host computer, and exchanges host interface addresses between the logical volume a and the logical volume b to execute the restoration processing. Whether synchronization of the logical volume a with the logical volume b is executed or not is controlled to store the damaged data.
