HYDROXYAPATITE CONTAINING SILICON AND MAGNESIUM, AMD METHOD FOR FABRICATING THE SAME

PURPOSE: Provided are hydroxyapatite £Ca10(PO4)6(OH)2| containing silicon and magnesium, wherein some porous ions and calcium ions are replaced with silicon ions and magnesium ions, respectively, maintaining its crystal structure and a method for fabricating the same. CONSTITUTION: The method comprises the steps of dispersing CaO into distilled water; dripping phosphate solution containing magnesium ions into the CaO solution prepared at the first step; dripping tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS) solution into the solution mixture acquired at the second step; and aging, filtering, drying and sintering the reactants of the third step.
