PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transferring red character proofreading documents in which proofreading documents and requested documents can be transmitted at low cost both on the producer side and the client side, and in which control is facilitated. SOLUTION: A proofreading document Ai from the producer side is received on the client side through a wide range network 1 (broad band) to be printed by a printer 5. When this proofreading document has imperfection, red characters are added to imperfect parts in the proofreading document, and it is set on a scanner 2 with an ADF to be a requested document to the producer side. Scanning is performed for each document, and its image data are directly stored in a semiconductor memory with a file name attached to be compressed and stored in an HDD. The image data and the file name in the HDD are sent to the producer side as the requested document under the Internet protocol. |
