PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce noise due to returning light. SOLUTION: The deviation between the natural oscillation frequency f of a nitrides semiconductor laser 101 and the beat frequency of returning light due to an interval L between the nitride semiconductor 101 and an optical disk 102 satisfies the relational formula between f and L: -0.5<=m×c/(2×L)-f<=1.5 (GHz) (wherein m denotes a natural number and c denotes the velocity of light) so that a resonance phenomenon between the natural oscillation frequency f and the beat frequency of returning light is generated.
