LOW-PRESSURE MERCURY VAPOR DISCHARGE LAMP AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-pressure mercury vapor discharge lamp capable of reducing temperature rise around a lighting circuit in a case. SOLUTION: A compact self-ballasted fluorescent lamp 1 is provided with the case 5 with one part opened for housing the lighting circuit, an arc tube 2 extended outward from the opening of the case 5, and a globe 6 having one part opened and covering the arc tube 2. An adhesive 14 is disposed at four points circumferentially spaced at nearly equal distances on the inside surface 5a on the opening side of the case 5, the peripheral part of the opening of the globe 6 is inserted into the inner circumference on the opening side of the case 5, and the globe 6 is fixed to the case 5 by the adhesive 14.
