DEVICE FOR TRANSFERRING WORKPIECE FOR BILLETS IN INDUCTION HEATING FURNACE

PURPOSE: A device for transferring workpiece for billets in induction heating furnace is provided to contribute to uniformization of a billet workpiece that is a heating object and reduce required power energy by improving shape of contact between the workpiece and workpiece transfer beam in the induction heating furnace. CONSTITUTION: In a workpiece transfer device of induction heating furnace to preheat the billet as transferring billet having a circular cross sectional shape that is a steel pipe workpiece(1), the device for transferring workpiece for billets in the induction heating furnace comprises semicircular shaped installation grooves a plurality of which are formed on the bottom surface of refractory wall(12) inside the induction heating furnace through which the workpiece(1) passes; and spherical shaped transfer balls(18) movably laid down on the installation grooves so that the transfer balls(18) are contacted with the bottom surface of the workpiece(1), wherein the transfer balls(18) are heat resistant and have a diameter ranging from 2/3 of radius of the installation grooves up to radius of the installation grooves.
