CAM APPARATUS AND PICK END PLACE APPARATUS USING CAM APPARATUS

PURPOSE: A cam apparatus and a pick and place apparatus using the cam apparatus are provided to move an output shaft by converting a constant velocity-continuous rotary motion of an input shaft into a combined rotary motion. CONSTITUTION: A cam apparatus(1) and a pick and place apparatus using the cam apparatus has an input shaft(5) rotatably supported to a housing(3) and continuously rotated at constant velocity; a first output shaft(7) interposing a rotatory motion conversion cam mechanism(21); a slider member(9) interposing a relative rotation regulation cam mechanism(31); a second output shaft(11) rotatably installed; and a motion conversion cam mechanism(51) interposed between the second output shaft and the slider member. A constant velocity-continuous rotary motion of the input shaft is converted into an inconstant velocity-rotary motion of a specified pattern and is transmitted to the first output shaft. In the slider member, the relative rotation to the first output shaft is regulated. The constant velocity-continuous rotary motion of the input shaft is converted into an axial reciprocating rectilinear motion and is transmitted to the slider member. The axial movement of the second output shaft is regulated. The motion conversion cam mechanism converts the reciprocating rectilinear motion displacement of the slider member into rocking rotatory motion displacement of the second output shaft and transmits the inconstant velocity-rotary motion of the slider member to the second output shaft. The rocking rotatory motion by the slider member and the inconstant velocity-rotary motion of the first output shaft are combined and transmitted to the second output shaft.
