PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital still camera capable of carrying out a stroboscope photographing without providing a stroboscopic device. SOLUTION: When a stroboscopic mode of the third party is selected, the exposure is repeated by a CCD image sensor in a constant period T. If it is detected that stroboscopic light from an external stroboscopic device was radiated on a subject based on light-receiving results of a light-receiving sensor which receives reflected light from the subject, image data obtained by the exposure is examined by a microcomputer, and it is determined whether or not the image data is a proper in the amount of exposure. When the image data is a proper in the amount of exposure, the image data is sent to a memory card and is recorded. |
