PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a short range radio communication system in which a radio transmission line is reconnected in a short time regardless of information processing of a host controller 2 at the time of disconnecting the radio transmission line. SOLUTION: In the short range radio communication system for transmitting a radio transmission signal bi-directionally between the communication modules 1 of information communication units each comprising the communication module 1 and a host controller 2 by selecting a plurality of high frequency channels sequentially through frequency hopping, the communication module 1 comprises a radio signal transmitting/receiving section 3, a frequency converting section 4, a baseband processing section 5, and an automatic restoration circuit section 6. The automatic restoration circuit section 6 incorporates a section for storing the line connection information and a section for storing the line connection set information. When the radio transmission line is disconnected due to incomplete transmission of a radio transmission signal, a line connection request is delivered using the line connection information and the line connection set information and the communication module 1 restores the disconnected radio transmission line automatically in response to the line connection request.
