PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device reduced in tint change caused by viewing angles. SOLUTION: The optical compensation sheet has a cellulose acetate film having 59.0 to 61.5% acetylation degree and an optical anisotropic layer made of a liquid crystal compound applied on the cellulose acetate film. The optical compensation sheet having the A value of the cellulose acetate film defined by formula (1): A=Re(420)/Re(550) ranging from 1.0 to 2.0 is used for a liquid crystal display device. In the formula (1), Re(420) represents the retardation of the film for the light at 420 nm wavelength and Re(550) represents the retardation of the film for the light at 550 nm wavelength. |
