PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to respond to a visitor even when no resident exists in a room. SOLUTION: The visitor response system includes; a visitor reception device 20 placed in the vicinity of an entrance of a building; a resident use fixed terminal 40 placed in a room of the building; and a resident unit mobile terminal 60 carried by a resident of the building. The visitor reception device 20, the resident use fixed terminal 40 and the resident unit mobile terminal 60 are connected to each other via the Internet, and at least voice can be sent in two-way between the visitor reception device 20 and the resident use fixed terminal 40 or the resident use mobile terminal 60. A door with a lock 15 is provided to the entrance of the building and each of the resident use fixed terminal 40 and the resident use mobile terminal 60 has an unlocking operation function to remotely unlock the lock 15 via the Internet.
