PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transmitting data acquired by a measuring device to a client through a network. SOLUTION: A client/server configuration wherein measuring devices 100, 102 can transmit measurement data instead of image data to clients 104, 204 is provided. The measurement data are preferably raw digitized data acquired from a signal source. Data transmitted through the network are greatly reduced by transmission of the measurement data through the client/server configuration, to thereby speed up data transmission. The client can generates complicated display including three-dimensional display of a waterfall, a spectrogram or the like which can not be generated by the measuring device. In addition, the client can generate plural displays from the same measurement data, and a different client can generate a different display.
